In an effort to assist in slowing the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Abcon Group Foundation has purchased 5000 face masks for our beneficiaries and their communities at large. The aim was to create a safer and healthier environment for all. Beyond that, this was an opportunity for AGF to fund, support and upskill two local SMME’s in their face mask businesses as part of our Enterprise and Supplier Development initiative.

Beneficiaries of the masks:

• 3600 learners from Hawk Academy School and their families
• 47 Teachers
• 24 of our bursary students
• 3 interns
• 32 learners
• 23 apprentices
• The rest of the masks have been distributed to the community members in the areas around which we operate.
